Punjab's ₹2.04-lakh crore Budget has allocated ₹655 crore for providing employment under MGNREGS. It has set aside ₹510 crore for providing pucca homes to underprivileged families and ₹10 crore to transform 100 primary government schools into 'Schools of Happiness'. Agriculture and allied sectors will get ₹13,784 crore. Notably, the Budget's cover has been hand-made by girls of Dirba constituency.
