Smoking harms nearly every organ of the body, US' CDC stated. Its long-term negative effects include cancer, heart diseases, respiratory diseases like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, brain stroke, reduced fertility in men and women, rise in risk of type 2 diabetes, weakened immune system, gum disease and tooth loss, and rheumatoid arthritis. No Tobacco Day is observed on May 31.
