What are the side effects of taking too many vitamin D and iron supplements?

Excessive vitamin D supplements intake is toxic as it increases calcium absorption in the gastrointestinal tract, according to US' National Institutes of Health. Vitamin D toxicity can cause buildup of calcium in blood, which can cause vomiting, weakness and frequent urination. Taking high doses of iron supplements can cause constipation, nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting, NIH stated.
