Many people with chronic kidney disease will not have symptoms because it does not usually cause problems until it reaches an advanced stage, according to NHS. Symptoms in later stages include weight loss and poor appetite, swollen ankles, feet or hands, shortness of breath, tiredness, blood in urine, insomnia, itchy skin, muscle cramps, and erectile dysfunction in men.
