What are the symptoms of H5N2 bird flu?

The 59-year-old Mexican man who had the first-known human case of H5N2 bird flu infection, developed several symptoms on 17th April, 2024, days before he passed away on 24th April, WHO said. The deceased had fever, shortness of breath, diarrhoea, nausea and general malaise, it said. The current risk to the general population by the virus is low, it added.
