What are the warning signs of childhood cancer?

The most common types of childhood cancers include leukemias, brain cancers, lymphomas and solid tumours, such as neuroblastoma and Wilms tumours. Childhood cancer is associated with a range of warning symptoms such as unexplained fever, severe and persistent headaches, bone and joint pain and unexplained weight loss. These can be detected by families and by trained primary health-care providers.
