What are the ways to invest in US stocks from India?

Indians can invest in US firms either by buying shares directly or through mutual funds and ETFs. The RBI's Liberalised Remittance Scheme allows residents to send up to $250,000 abroad each financial year for permitted purposes, including stock investments. Other options include overseas brokerage platforms, GIFT City-based services and depository receipts offered by NSE International Exchange.
