Bangladesh, crisscrossed by over 200 rivers, is grappling with its worst floods in decades. A depression in the Bay of Bengal has led to the current deluge with rivers in two basins flowing above the danger mark. Besides torrential rains and overflowing rivers, El Niño and climate change are key factors responsible for flooding in the country, weather experts said.
