What could cause nausea after eating food?

Several reasons can cause a person to experience nausea after eating food, according to gastroenterologist Dr Christine Lee. Some of the probable causes are viral or bacterial infection, food poisoning, overeating, stress or anxiety, heartburn, medications, food allergies, irritable bowel syndrome, blood sugar issues, etc. She suggested eating bland food, rest and hydration to ease the nausea.
