Ukraine, which on Wednesday signed a minerals deal with the US, has deposits of 22 minerals identified by the European Union as critical. The country possesses some rare earth elements like lanthanum, cerium and neodymium, Reuters reported, citing Ukraine's Institute of Geology. It reportedly also has one of Europe's largest reserves of lithium at an estimated 5,00,000 metric tons.
