During the first media address by sitting Supreme Court judges, the four senior-most SC judges made public their two-month-old letter to Chief Justice Dipak Misra. In the letter, they accused CJIs of assigning cases with "far-reaching consequences" to selective benches without any rational basis. They also accused judiciary members of dealing with matters not falling under their jurisdiction.
