When Formula One drivers get dressed for a race, safety is the top priority. They wear gloves, socks, long underwear sets (top and bottom), balaclavas, boots, race suits and helmets, which protect them from fire and heat. The race kit must also be light, comfortable and breathable, with a few built-in features to help drivers perform at their best.
