What do high levels of testosterone mean amid gender row in boxing at Paris Olympics?

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, who earlier failed gender eligibility tests, won her opening women's boxing bout at Paris Olympics. Testosterone is a sex hormone produced by both men and women. In men, it's up to 20 times more than women. In women, it ranges from 0.5-2.4 nmol/litre. When people naturally produce excess of sex hormones like testosterone, it's called hyperandrogenism.
