The symbol 'EIIR' was seen on the throne of the British monarch during King Charles III's accession ceremony in St James' Palace on Saturday. It is the late Queen Elizabeth II's royal cypher and stands for Elizabeth II Regina, as 'Regina' means queen in Latin. The cypher is likely to change to 'CIIIR' to represent King Charles, reports said.
