In diplomacy, 'persona non grata' (PNG), latin for 'unwelcome person' signifies a foreign diplomat expelled by the host nation. The sending country is asked to recall the individual in such a situation. If they refuse, the host country can withdraw diplomatic recognition and immunity. India recently declared all defence advisors at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi as PNG.
