short by Anmol Sharma / on Saturday, 20 July, 2024
The standard way to measure rainfall is by determining total depth of rain accumulated over a specified period, expressed in millimetres (mm). To illustrate, 1 mm of rainfall would refer to depth of rain that'd be received in a square of one metre in length and width. So, 1-mm rain would be 1-litre water in a single metre square.
