What foods are consumed during Navratri fast?

During Navratri fast, people should consume flours such as Kuttu ka Aata (buckwheat flour), Singhare ka Aata (water chestnut flour), Rajgira ka Aata (Amaranth flour), and samai ke chawal (barnyard millets). Potatoes, sweet potatoes and fruits like bananas, apples, watermelons, and seasonal fruits are recommended. Rock salt aka 'sendha namak' is used instead of regular salt during Navratri fasting.
