Foreclosing a credit card EMI involves settling the facility before the agreed repayment period ends. Once a person processes the closure, the remaining monthly instalments are cancelled, and interest that would have accrued during the rest of the tenure is no longer payable. However, the person still needs to pay the outstanding principal, along with applicable foreclosure charges and taxes.
