The Bank of England has said that banknotes and coins bearing Queen Elizabeth's face will continue to be accepted as forms of payment and that the formal declaration regarding the country’s currency will be made seven days after the Queen's funeral. It is estimated that banknotes worth $95 billion and about 29 billion coins are in circulation in the UK.
