What happens to EPF balance & interest after leaving a job at 40?

If an employee leaves their job at 40 and does not withdraw their Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) money, the balance remains in the account and can continue earning interest until they turn 58. After that, the account becomes inoperative. Members must keep their Universal Account Number, KYC and bank details updated and retain access to their EPF account.
