When a person gets extremely angry, stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol are released, increasing the heart rate and blood pressure, Narayana Hospital's Dr Rahul Rai Kakkar said. Anger can cause muscles to tense, especially in the neck, shoulders, and jaw. "Your digestion slows down, and you may feel nauseous...Frequent bouts of rage can increase heart disease risk," he added.
