Maharashtra government's 'Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana', to give ₹1,500/month to women with annual family incomes below ₹2.5 lakh, is said to have helped ruling alliance win polls, amid surge in women voters. The BJP-Shiv Sena-NCP 'Mahayuti' bloc promised to increase it to ₹2,100/month if re-elected. Maharashtra government has disbursed three instalments to over two crore beneficiaries, NDTV reported.
