What is 'money dysmorphia'?

Money dysmorphia is "a negative and unrealistic perception of one's financial wellness," according to financial therapist Amanda Clayman. A study showed that nearly half of Gen Z and millennials in the US have money dysmorphia. It can be caused by various reasons, including past money trauma, societal pressures, economic crisis, or childhood upbringing, finance expert Danielle Desir Corbett said.
