The FIA introduced the Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) ahead of the 2026 F1 season. Teams found to be at least 2% behind the manufacturer with the best-performing internal combustion engine will be granted extra development opportunities. The first ADUO is scheduled after the sixth round of the season in Monaco in June, though this may reportedly change.
