What is Asylum and Extradition?

Asylum and extradition mean very different things. Asylum is when a country gives safety to someone who is being treated badly in their own country because of their religion, politics, or other reasons. Extradition is when one country sends a person back to another country to face a court case or punishment. India follows rules under the Extradition Act, 1962.
