The Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Abhiyaan, or Ayushman Bharat healthcare scheme aims to provide annual medical cover of ₹5 lakh to over 10 crore poor families. The beneficiary families will be chosen on the basis of the Socio-Economic Caste Census database. All beneficiaries will be entitled to cashless medical cover during treatment at all empanelled hospitals across the country.
