What is Bayeux Tapestry, the 1,000-year-old medieval artwork?

Bayeux Tapestry is one of the world's most famous works of medieval art. A piece of embroidered cloth, it's about 68 metres long and weighs around 350-kilograms. The embroidery tells story of events that led to Battle of Hastings in 1066, in which William, Duke of Normandy, invaded England and defeated King Harold II, becoming King William I of England.
