India's Samudrayaan mission to send a manned submersible to 6,000m underwater has been delayed due to late delivery of syntactic foam cladding from France, vital for submersible's buoyancy. The mission, led by NIOT, aims to explore the ocean floor, collect samples, and pave the way for deep-sea mining. Tests are now expected by April next year.
