Cell phone blindness or transient smartphone blindness refers to temporary monocular vision loss due to using smartphones while lying in the dark. This typically affects people who use smartphones with one eye covered (for example, when lying on their side). The US government suggests using phones in well-lit rooms and in a position where light doesn't enter only one eye.
