DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) is a flexible eating plan that helps create a heart-healthy eating style, according to National Institutes of Health. It requires no special foods and instead provides daily and weekly nutritional goals. It recommends eating vegetables, fruits, whole grains, including low-fat dairy products, fish, poultry and limiting foods with high saturated fat.
