What is 'eye stroke' triggered by heatwave & what are its symptoms?

Eye strokes take place during hot weather when heat-induced blood clots form on the retina, disrupting oxygen flow and leading to retina damage, ophthalmologist Dr Navneet Bohra said. Eye stroke symptoms include sudden vision loss, blurred vision, visual field defects, including loss of central or peripheral vision, and floaters or flashes. Doctors recommend UV-filter sunglasses and eye drops.
