The Fermi Paradox is a contradiction between high probability of extraterrestrial civilisations in the observable universe and lack of evidence or contact. First proposed by physicist Enrico Fermi in 1950, it asks "where is everybody?" and how aliens remain undetected despite billions of potential exoplanets. The reasons include cosmic evolution, technological limitations, and extinction events.
