Foreign accent syndrome (FAS) is a condition where the way a person talks shifts and changes in a way that’s sudden and very noticeable. As the name suggests, it sounds like the person has started talking with a foreign accent. FAS may indicate something is disrupting your brain function. FAS mainly affects the rhythm of how a person speaks.
