What is front-running in stock market?
short by Hiral / on Sunday, 23 June, 2024
Front-running refers to an illegal practice when a broker or an investor places their trade order first, based on non-public information about an upcoming large transaction that will influence stock price, to earn profits. It is also known as forward-trading or tailgating. Front-running is different from insider trading as the latter is based on material, non-public information about a company.
