What is iceberg A23a – The giant iceberg that’s melting away?

Iceberg A23a is one of the largest and oldest icebergs ever recorded. It broke off from Antarctica in 1986 and stayed grounded for over 30 years. Now drifting into warmer waters, it’s rapidly breaking apart. Once larger than Rhode Island, A23a is melting fast, with scientists warning it could vanish completely within weeks due to rising ocean temperatures.
