US Department of State has approved a defence support package worth $428.2 million (₹4,136 crore) for India. The package includes sustainment support for M-777 A2 Ultra-Light Howitzers, valued at $230 million, and follow-on support services and related equipment worth $198.2 million for AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. The principal contractors for the Apache deal are Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
