Black holes are regions in space where massive amount of mass is concentrated in small volume, creating gravitational pull so powerful even light cannot escape. Black holes have two parts- event horizon, which can be thought of as the surface, where gravity gets too strong for anything to escape. At the center is singularity- an infinitely small and dense point.
