Railways has said its anti-collision system for trains, 'Kavach', was not deployed on Odisha route. 'Kavach' can prevent accidents due to human error resulting in Signal Passing At Danger and over-speeding. 'Kavach' controls speed of train by automatic application of brakes in case loco pilot fails to apply brakes. It helps in collision avoidance by direct loco to loco communication.
