A young British student was hospitalised due to the kissing disease, also known as glandular fever, a viral infection caused by the Epstein-Barr virus after she randomly kissed a guy in a bar. It spreads through saliva, often during kissing, but also by sharing a cigarette or glass. In a few cases, it affects your liver and can be fatal.
