What is known about the 'Godfather of AI'?

British computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton is known as "Godfather of AI". Born in Wimbledon in 1947, he earned BA in experimental psychology from Cambridge and PhD in AI from Edinburgh. Hinton won 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics for work on machine learning with neural networks. He made headlines when he quit job at Google to speak out about AI's risks.
