Google's artificial intelligence-powered chatbot 'Bard' is built on the company's existing large language model LaMDA. The model is capable of engaging in a free-flowing way about a seemingly "endless number of topics", as per Google. Last year, a Google engineer claimed LaMDA had become "sentient" and was behaving like a human. Google refuted these claims and also fired the engineer.
