What is Manhattanhenge?

'Manhattanhenge', which will be seen today (May 29) at 8:12 pm (EDT) in USA's Manhattan, is a phenomenon when the setting sun aligns with Manhattan street grid and sinks below the horizon of skyscrapers. 'Manhattanhenge' or 'Manhattan Solstice' takes place in May and July. The term was coined in 1997 by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who was inspired by Stonehenge.
