Masked Aadhaar card is a version of Aadhaar wherein the first eight characters are hidden (like 'XXXX-XXXX'), and only last four digits remain visible. It is a valid ID that allows safeguarding Aadhaar number during use at unlicensed entities. It can be downloaded from myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and used while booking travel and movie tickets, hotel rooms and at pubs and restaurants.
