Othello Syndrome, or morbid jealousy, is a psychiatric disorder where one falsely believes their partner is cheating on them. Psychiatrist Dr Sarthak Dave explains that this delusion persists even after giving contradicting proofs. Named after Shakespeare’s Othello, it can sometimes leads to rage, stalking, or violence, and is more common in men and may accompany schizophrenia or substance abuse.
