SC sub-categorisation under the Scheduled Castes (Rationalisation of Reservation) Act, 2025, divides the 15% SC reservation into three groups based on social, economic, and educational backwardness in Telangana. Group-I gets 1%, Group-II 9%, and Group-III 5%. The aim is to ensure equitable access to opportunities among 59 SC sub-castes by prioritising the most disadvantaged communities.
