What is sick building syndrome?

Sick building syndrome is a condition where occupants develop headaches, fatigue, eye or throat irritation, dizziness, or breathing problems linked to time spent inside a building, without a specific illness identified. Its causes include poor ventilation, indoor air pollution, mould, dust, improper lighting, temperature or humidity. Symptoms usually improve after leaving the building.
