What is syndrome of approximate answers or Ganser's syndrome?

Dr Sarthak Dave says Ganser syndrome involves giving logical but incorrect “approximate answers” to simple questions such as saying 2+2 equals 7, showing awareness yet error. It may include clouded consciousness, hallucinations, and memory gaps. Though linked to dissociation, similar features can appear in malingering, especially among prisoners or certain patients.
