Tennis elbow is a painful condition of the elbow which is caused by overuse. Tennis elbow is known as lateral epicondylitis in medical terms and occurs when repetitive stress causes small tears in the tendon that connects extensor muscles to the bone in the forearm. It is known as tennis elbow as the condition is common among racquet sports players.
