Thailand is considering a $31 billion 'Land Bridge' project to bypass the Strait of Malacca amid the Strait of Hormuz closure. Under the project, a 90 km corridor featuring a six-lane motorway, a dual-track railway, and an oil pipeline will be built connecting two deep-sea ports. It is expected to reduce the transport time by approximately 5 days.
