'Glass child syndrome' is a term used to describe the experience of a person who has a sibling with special needs. "The parents are so focused on the child with special needs that they kind of look right through the other siblings," a pediatric psychologist said. As per Cleveland Clinic, such children often act more mature and overwork themselves.
